And this is my prayer...

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ. Philippians 1:9-10

I am writing tonight in search of sincere hearts. I need your prayers, and I am asking for them with a selfless heart. God has some pretty big plans for this world this summer. He is using some pretty amazing Christians, and then He is also using those of us who never considered them selves anything but ordinary.

The last several weeks I have been struggling with large amounts of anxiety about my place at camp. Satan is attacking me spiritually and now physically. I have two different bacterial infections plaguing me, and this evening, I broke out in hives on my left hip. I leave for camp at six on Monday morning. I have to check in over seven different prescriptions to the camp nurse. The whole ordeal is really discouraging.

I realize many of you will not see me again for a couple of months, but I pray that you lay your spiritual hands of prayer upon me. I need to get through the next ten weeks because God has chosen me to serve in this area. I pray my focus will remain on Him, so that I may help the children at this camp in all the ways the seek council.

I encourage everyone, however, to remain accountable to one another throughout the summer. Do not become lazy in your Bible studies or praise and worship. Grow with God, and make sure you’re experiencing Him. To grow in the father God is an amazing blessing so don’t sell yourself short.

I leave you all with faith that my needs will always be met this summer and that my BCM family will be lifting each other up daily. Prepare your hearts now for what the Lord is going to be doing in your life…what’s the point in waiting?

Father God, You have chosen our paths, and for the next three months many miles may separate the Christian family we have established through BCM. I pray that you strengthen our bonds of love and faith despite our separation. Convict us, O Lord, to remain accountable for one another’s actions. We cannot hold the course alone God, and I pray that you remind us of that. We are just one part of the Church as an individual, and I pray that we’ll continue to be in sincere prayer for our brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the summer. Bless each of us with your unquestionable and good will, and I lift up everyone, Lord. Prepare their hearts for all you are going to use them for. Speak to them so clearly and distinctly, Father, that they cannot ignore You. Thank you God for all you have blessed with me. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of friends. Our delight is in You, Lord, and I pray that will always be the case. Bless our friendships and guide our actions. Amen.
